Red 4 is committed to supporting our industry.
We work with clients and industry colleagues to create consistency and achieve the standards required to manage asbestos risk effectively.
To date, the asbestos industry in New Zealand has had limited guidance, particularly for asbestos surveyors, assessors, and consultants. We are here to help.
Limited training opportunities for future surveyors and assessors can lead to avoidable mistakes, which may have serious consequences for the public, workers, contractors, and clients. It can create unsafe working conditions and, subsequently, increase the risk of exposure to airborne asbestos fibres.
Inconsistent practices confuse the expectations of contractors and clients, leading to projects exceeding timelines and budgets. This can place perceived pressure on all parties involved and may contribute to stressed and/or unsafe working environments.
We want to alleviate the unnecessary pressure placed on the industry by these practices. We take on the responsibility to help standardise the industry through training, support, and quality assurance, thus creating better projects with less commercial risk to our clients.
We can achieve this through:
On the field:
- Excellent service
- Quality product/advice
- Team talks/discussions
- Onsite support
- Fair prices
- Hosting/supporting industry events
Off the field:
- Listening to their needs
- Supporting programs they are involved in, such as sport
- Organising activities for industry friends
We believe achieving the above will help create a community within the industry.
